Description
Spectrum, represents our finest Syrah of vintage. Produced only in outstanding vintage years, Spectrum is a melding of the influence of terroir and the craft of a winemaker.
Aged for 20 months in a curated French oak program, the best barrels were selected and then blended to produce a small batch of distinguished Mt Benson Syrah.
Spectrum has a rich intensity of brooding dark fruit and bramble characters, with black plum and coffee overtones. This small parcel of wine is limited to 200 dozen.

95 points – Tom Kline – "Cool and restrained aromas of sweet oak spice and dark fruits straight up. Nutmeg and shortbread make way for dark plum, black cherry and bramble with some cedar oak in the background. The palate is soft and also restrained with a lovley fruit and spice mix. Dark plum and black cherry again, warm spice, and a glimmer of mulberry are constricted with a vein of chalky tannins and cooling acidity. A delicious Syrah, with present but integrated oak, attractive spice and elegant fruit. Drink now – 2029."
