Planted in 1999 the Syrah is one of the original plantings at Wangolina. The 2021 vintage was one of the best vintages we have seen at Wangolina with good yields, great ripening conditions and beautiful fruit quality all leading to producing some amazing wines. 

The Originals Syrah was handpicked and 50% whole bunch fermented and then hand plunged for colour and tannin extraction. Gentle pressing to encourage elgance and aromatics before time in seasoned oak. Our small batch Syrah is youthful, vibrant and highlights the bright, spicy flavours of our cool coastal region.
