Tempranillo is a variety native to Spain, it is a “newer” addition to the Australian wine scene. Bright, fleshy, and fun. A mid-weight palate brimming with ripe cherries, plums and dried fig. A savoury earthiness rounds out the palate and finishes with a dusting of tannin.
We source this alternative variety from our good friends at Wirrega vineyards near Bordertown in the Limestone Coast. The 2017 vintage is 100% wild ferment, where we used only the naturally occurring yeast present in the surrounds to complete the fermentation.
