Planted in 1999 the Syrah is one of the original plantings at Wangolina. The 2019 vintage was long and steady with reasonably fine warm weather with some heat spikes. 

The Originals Syrah was handpicked and 50% whole bunch fermented and then hand plunged for colour and tannin extraction. Gentle pressing to encourage elgance and aromatics before time in seasoned oak. Our small batch Syrah is youthful, vibrant and highlights the bright, spicy flavours of our cool coastal region.
